Thanks for your welcome and the fact that you have the same model which is somewhat rare in Greater London.  :)

The week I bought mine, I think 5 left the showroom. I still have yet to see another on the road.

It looks a beast and I'm longing to find out when it's appropriate; he said jokingly.  ;)

😉
It's pretty wild in sports mode if you haven't already tried it.
Dont get much opportunity myself with the speed restrictions around here.

With the lowering of speed limits everywhere, and the escalation of cameras it's getting very difficult at times to abide within the limits.  ::)

Yes that's true enough
Did u get a good discount off the original price?

Just turning up at the dealership these days obtains a discount.  :)
Having done quiet a few negotiations in my time I always come away satisfied or I walk, and I've had to do that on many occasions.

This was my first brand new car and I used carwow to beat the price down to a good deal.
It will be difficult to bring myself to buy 2nd hand  now I've bought new.

Just wondering how long it will take to test our vehicle due to these Covid19 restrictions being in place.  :(
I realise there are more important things in life with people dying/suffering but still feeling frustrated with the event.

Yes I bet it's very frustrating for you both.
Something to look forward to though when its safe to do so
Still loving mine but only get to ride her to and from work right now of course.

Frustrating all right!!
Picture the scene, a beautiful mild sunny day, a brand new sparkling Tucson N Line outside and all I can do is sit in it.  ???

Yea I know,
Hoping the ppf does not play up as cant take it on a run.

I'm apprehensive about even starting it due to that dreaded ppf filter.  :-\

I know hyundai do not get too many problems with their diesel dpf due to it being so near the engine thus getting hot faster. I'm hoping it's the same with the petrol version otherwise why bother to choose this version for shorter journeys.

I sat and had another read through the manual earlier. I thought the N line had Driver attention alert?
Cant find it in the settings on the dash.
I do nights so would be handy.

According to the list in "Driver Convenience Section" I downloaded before purchase it does have it listed under Driver Alert System.

Apart from my inherent dislike for diesel clatter, I'm also wondering why this sudden urgency for ppf when electric/hybrid vehicles are shortly due to take over.

Now the lockdown has eased, I will hopefully be able to get some miles on this dormant vehicle and maybe take some pics eventually.

See post 1.
Well Bank Holiday Monday 29 August at 5:45-6am my wife's beloved Tucson was stolen from our driveway by some scumbags. It being keyless the two keys were in a Faraday pouch, within a Faraday box in the microwave. The police, insurance company and myself have no idea how this was accomplished but the stress, anxiety and worry this has caused is unmeasurable. All the advice they can offer is to get on with our lives.

Wow  so sorry to see this and shows at least to me that this technology is good for nothing.. I hope they catch them and you get the car back but I guess it has not and now its been broken to sell for spares by these criminals.. >:(

That's shocking mate!!
You couldn't do anymore to protect the keyless entry fobs either!!.
How on earth did the scum manage to do it!

WOW that's terrible sorry to hear this. We have Faraday box and pouches for the spare keys. I know this sounds crazy but I actually checked my box worked I put my keys in it for both our keyless entry Hyundai's and went and stood next to them and pressed the buttons on the doors and they wouldn't open.
Did the police or insurance offer any suggestions of how they did this, i have heard of keys being cloned but this is high tech stuff???
Regards Sean

The police issued a crime number that morning, closed the case 10pm that evening and much to my astonishment/dismay they said the case would be kept on record. My insurance company were quiet unconcerned and just wanted to know if I had both keys, which I did.  Because these thieves are so far ahead of the car makers they have multiple ways of stealing your car. Since talking with the public and perusing the web I have discovered how rife it is.
The car was discovered three weeks later abandoned in South Derbyshire having been involved in numerous crime and a police chase when they got away.
The vehicle was eventually declared uneconomical for repair and a settlement accepted.
