Autonomous emergency braking, how does it work
« Reply #15 on: October 09, 2019, 11:17:44 »
I’ve got a driving assistance sub menu on the small screen between rev counter and speedo on my Santa Fe.  I’ll scroll through it and see if it is listed. I wouldn’t ever want to turn it off.

In some weather conditions it cannot function. It can’t measure the distance to what’s ahead.  Mine won’t work in heavy snow, and I get a warning when it’s not functioning. The warning clears when the snow stops.

Thanks for that
I\'ve scanned the manual and cant find it under AEB, seems to be under forward collision avoidance. Surprising as they advertise AEB and use the wording autonomous emergency braking  in there spec sheets.

I’ve got a menu that can switch AEB and FCW.
My car is a 2016 Santa Fe Premium SE, with the convenience option pack. What are you driving?
