Think I'll stop moaning about my 41 MPG around town. 23.8 I think that's woeful.

Yes it is poor by today's modern engine standards.

Just did my first ever brim to brim test and the mpg worked out at 23.8
I guess about right for speed limits and often heavy traffic in london.

Are you comparing like for like or a Kona Hybrid v Tucson N line 177?

I just think it's woeful MPG. My mates Jeep Wrangler gets high 20's around Leeds. His Jeep is a 2ltr Turbo auto. Another mate has a XJ auto gets mid 20's 3ltr. However it's up to the individual if they're happy with their MPG or not and that's just my opinion.

Hi egg
Sorry about my misunderstanding, but I thought you might have a Tucson N line tucked away somewhere and as I have just purchased one thought I had something remarkable mileage wise to look forward too.  :-[

No worries mate.
Apart from the 3 cylinder 1 ltr I10 I'm not sure any Hyundai MPG is very good. My IX35 1.7 Diesel wasn't great my I30 1.6 Diesel was better but certainly no where near class leading my Kona I think is poor but the 2 I10's I've had were great. Both did 55 mpg in and around Lincoln although the wife soon brought that down when driving. Unless I have to I won't drive my Kona into the City I'll always take the I10.
