Hyundai's Click To Buy online website opens today http://clicktobuy.hyundai.co.uk/ so I looked at the "discounted" price of a Santa Fe - only model available is the Wiggins 7-seat automatic at £38,295 which looks like 0% discount to me.

Just for comparison, a Kia Sorento KX3 automatic is £32,972 at Orange Wheels online broker and they'll do a VW Touareg for under £37,000.

I can't see Hyundai dealers losing ANY sales to "Click To Buy"

Over 40k now for a Santa Fe SE with options.

Mainstream pricing but with more equipment than most competitor vehicles.

What do you see as competitors?

At the Santa Fe's discounted price it's competing in the premium sector, not mainstream. Santa Fe improves significantly with each new model - but so does everyone else.

i think thats what i was trying to say in a roundabout way. Hyundai and "premium" would not have been mentioned a few years ago. theres a lot of premium in this price range...ecven a year or 2 2nd hand.

I bought my 7 seater premium Santa Fe in 2010 ex dem, 4 months old with 1800 miles on the clock for £19000 and I am sure the retail at the time was £24000, how on earth they can justify a £14000 hike in 6 years is beyond me.

Other Car :- GCS Hawke 3.5 ltr V8 Kitcar - Morgan lookalike built by me in 2000.

Mine was a brand-new factory order, with affinity discount, for £22,422 in January 2011 - 7-seater automatic Premium Santa Fe with metallic paint - and I did get £10,210 cash when I sold it 4 years 9 months later, which is a good residual %.

To be fair, the current DM is a better model than the CM, more equipment and better interior trim
