Today whilst driving to the supermarket, I noticed the brake warning light was on continuously.

Half way into my journey going home the brake warning light turned off.

Should I get my car checked?

Thanks.

Okay.

Do you know why the warning light was on and then off?

It could be a number of things - parking brake still on, low brake fluid, ABS sensor fault - you'll need the diagnostics read as a code(s) should be stored in the ECU indicating what sort of fault.
