Hello all,
Just got my hands on an i800.
I'm not 100% certain my tinted windows are correct.
My windows have been tinted with film, instead of ink in the glazing.
I've contacted Hyundai to be told film is standard, but I'm sure I've seen i800s with completely black windows and no joins like you get with films.
Can anyone shed any light or info on this?
Thanks in advance

If mine are film, they are very very well done!!
When I had to get the rear window replaced under warranty, I was asked if it was tinted or clear .....?

Thanks for getting back to me, do you have any pics at all?

Does this help.......

Run your thumbnail along the inside of the tinted window it will feel soft if it is film.
Gazza!!!

Thanks for the pic.
Mine is very similar on the side port window.
It's 100% film on mine, I can see the join and where the film raises over the writing on the glass.
I was under the impression that the windows should be tinted with the iink in the glass during manufacturing.
Im sure I've seen i800s with completely black windows in this manner.

But the description etched in glass says 70% transparency - surely it would not say this if it was film.

I think the 70% is the amount of light it let's in, not how much it blocks. I'm told by hyundai technical that all i800s are tinted at the port with film.
