Title: Flushing i20 petrol coolant
Post by: i20 2009 on October 08, 2016, 12:24:40
I've got a 2009 i20 and I want to flush the coolant out, the car's original fill, and put fresh in.

I got a 5L tub of Autochem red long life at the local motor factor to go in so need to make sure the original blue stuff is flushed out.

What's the best way to flush the system clean ?
Is there an engine block drain plug ?

thanks

Colour doesn't determine coolant type - you'll need to check Hyundai's requirement and the label on the container!

I've checked the car's user manual against the anti-freeze and it seems right.

It seems Autochem red is suitable for all engines post 1999.

Just need to thoroughly flush before refilling.
