Hi all, first time posting here. I have just made a claim under warranty for corroded alloys, they have only replaced 3(with refurbished alloys)claiming that new policy states any damage to wheel and they do not replace even if corroded. The fourth wheel had minor kerbing on edge, hence no replacement . The dealer did not even tell me how many they were replacing, and did not realise until I got home.I made a complaint to Hyundai customer services, and was told they might be able to help out with a good will gesture. However they have not called me back and I am being fobbed off when I call them .Any advice please. Thanks.

Maybe visit the site and request to make an appointment with the Service Manager directly?

Have been contacted again by customer services and their only offer is a new wheel at discounted price of 150 pound. They will not fund a refurb as they are saying 4th wheel is still rejected under warranty terms. They will not refurb even though wheel is clearly corroded! They think they are making me a good offer but its nearly twice the price of a refurb.Very disappointed.

I had two of mine replaced under warranty when the car was 3 years old, they were like yours corroded and flaking. No problem with dealer I took a load of photos sent them to dealer and they ordered wheels and replaced them.

Just seems that this is a new policy, probably because theyve replaced so many.Any damage to wheel and no replacement, period.

Poor laquer adhesion is an issue that's been plaguing Hyundai alloys since the 2011 model year, perhaps earlier - you'd think by now they'd have found the cause and eliminated it.

Wheels replaced to day, But Hyundai Backing out of replacing frount brake dices that have distorted after only 14000 miles saying they are out of warranty as it's 20,000m or 2years car is 2years 2 months old, Not Happy
But have not given up on this by a long way.

Got agreement today for replacement of front brake dices on warranty ,
But had to stick it out and not let them charge me for them.
Checked warranty on line and a lot of things not covered under 5 year warranty.

It is common with most vehicle manufacturers for some components to have a more limited warranty within the new car warranty, and the warranties cover manufacturing defects, rather than wear and tear.

Exactly right - warranty is to protect against manufacturing defects, not wear & tear - you can get full maintenance contracts which cover wear & tear.
