Hi all,
Not sure if anyone'll be able to help but thought it was worth a go.
I have a Next Base 112 Dash Cam with a Samsung Evo 32GB memory card in it. It has been working fine up until Sunday, and now every time I switch the car (and therefore the camera) on, a message comes up on the screen saying I need to format the card - I have done this about four times now, and every time after formatting it the message still comes up when you press record.
Do I need a new memory card or (hopefully not) a new camera?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Ciaran

Are you using the camera's internal formatting program, or doing the reformat externally?

Hi Shambles,
I've been using the format option on the camera's menu system so far.

Hi.
Memory card needs to be a high speed , class 10 sd card to cope with the hd
I'd check if it is compatible or it will need formatted all the time.

^ what he said.
Plus, try to put the card into a Windows PC/laptop and run a disk error check on it. See what report you get. Then replant it into your camera and do a reformat.

Nextbase cameras are known to have an issue where the Sd card needs regular (monthly) formatting. I'd format it on a PC as using the camera menu doesn't seem to be doing the job. Ensure you are formatting, not just erasing content.
Have you considered checking for a firmware update?
