Title: New member with an xg30
Post by: Madpierre on July 19, 2016, 15:29:19
Just thought I'd pop in to say hello as I've just joined the club. I'm the proud owner of a 02 xg30, I bought it around 12 months ago and think I got a bargain! It had 1 previous owner, full service history immaculate interior and exterior ( in fact the only place it showed any sort of rust was just under the bonnet lip, around an inch and just like the bonnet had rubbed the paint), everything works and the mileage is a whopping 49,000 (42000 when bought) miles!!! I love the car and have never felt so comfortable and safe driving in it.
Now here's the crunch, due to ill health I've had to quit work, and suspect it won't be long before she has to go. Where would a good place be to sell her? Never see one on eBay and to be honest would prefer her to go to a good home where she would be looked after, ant ideas?
Regards
Pete

The XG never sold well, only 698 ever sold in the UK - just 154 left on the road with a further 59 on SORN. The only XG on Autotrader is also an "02" but with 134,000 miles on - dealer is asking £795.

Dealer asking prices are always more than private deals - and dealers do have legal liabilities that private sellers don't.
