I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 and own a 2015 i40, I cannot get the phone book to download it does however show my call logs, I took my car in for 20000 mile service (at the dealers) and they have put the latest update on my car (which is the SatNav version) and the phone book will still not download. My old iphone I had no problem with and my Galaxy will work perfect on my friends Vauxhall, on the Hyundai website it says the phone and car are compatible. I have ticked all the boxes both on the car and the phone so its not as if I am doing something wrong (even the dealers tried it to no avail). Can anyone help before I lose what is left of my fast receding hairline????

The galaxy j36 does work on the new Tucson.

My daughter and myself previously had a Nokia each and we both found out that if the contacts were entered into the phone and the sim card together that phone book would then download, the contacts would show up in pairs on the phone itself.

Let us know if it works?.

Well I have tried every trick in the book, every forum to do with Hyundai, followed every bit of advice and can I get the phone book to download, can I heck!!!!
I use my phone a lot for work purposes (it was provided by my employer)and never know who is phoning me (unless they are in my favourites), flaming pain in the proverbial. I know this may sound nuts but I am seriously thinking of changing cars, but other than the Bluetooth I love the i40 it does what it should and tows my caravan with ease, the only other alternative is to see if my company will buy me an iphone or have a go on the lottery as there is more chance of winning than the company spending on me.

Do an internet search under compatible mobile phones for Hyundai i40.
You will find a list of compatible phones and their details.

Compatible does not mean all services will work, the fact you can receive and make calls indicates some form of compatibility.
