Title: Worth buying the Service package?

I have recently bought a Hyundai i10 and the salesman offered me a 3 year service package at £775, which includes parts and labour

I have no idea if this is a good offer or not and looking for some advice.

Can anyone help?

They pick up and drop off as well, so does remove that hassle

HOWEVER, if you get the 5 year package, you get a service each year - that means yearly oil and a full vehicle check, plus a chance to update any software and maps without making the effort to go in just for those.

I feel 2 years is too long between engine oil changes, especially on a diesel when the oil gets acidic so for me it's worth a bit extra for the plan to double the number of changes - and the plan is a good deal cheaper than 5 services charges.

Thank heavens the Tucson 2l SE 185 does not have a cambelt - that's at least one major expense gone.

The Hyundai service plans are excellent value, but your quote seems very steep. My 5- year , 5 services plan was £799 on a Santa Fe.(2013)

I have juts taken delivery of a Santa Fe, 1st registered mid Sept 2015 (65), with 2400 miles on the clock. Firstly can I purchase a service plan and secondly the 5 year plan is £919. If I go for a 5 year plan this puts it outside the 5 year warrantee with more MOT's - If I can convince them is is worth it?

Post by: Ruperts Trooper on April 17, 2017, 20:32:37: The headline service interval is 20,000 miles or 2 years so only 2 services needed under warranty - there are recommendations to do an interim oil change at 10,000/1 year and 30,000/3 years but not mandatory - check what the package includes.
