Title: brake fault
Post by: batty21 on May 21, 2017, 18:23:07
:( hi, when i go to brake the car only slows gently but won,t stop. the pedal is still hard when i press but the car won,t stop. after taking my foot off and pressing again everything works again, this only happens once in a while but needs attention. brake pads have been checked and are fine, i would be most thankful for any help whatsoever, thanks in advance.the servo has been checked and is fine plenty vacuum, thanks. my car is a hyundai amica 2006 model 1-1ltr thanks, i am going to change the brake master cylander and see if that sorts it thanks,

What model do you have?

i'm no expert but could it be the hydraulics at fault.

is the fluid above the low mark?

has it been changed recently and system not bleed through?

i'd be wary about driving with defective brakes and need to be sorted promto.

That seems to indicate a servo fault, hard pedal and no brakes is similar to trying to brake with  the engine off, so no vacuum in the tank.

I would suggest having it towed to a dealer ASAP  :o

As above

Do not take any chances where your brakes are concerned, for obvious reasons,
