Anybody know the life span of a TPMS sensor and how much for a replacement one?

I dont think there is a set or approved length of service on the sensor but this company do them which I would think be far cheaper that any dealer..

I've seen a 5-year nominal life quoted but in reality it must be mileage related as it shuts down when stationary.

Of course, cars with an ABS-based TPMS system have no sensors to "wear out".
