This morning, I got into the car and was notified about a 10-minute update. I went inside for a cup of tea, and when I returned, the screen indicated the update was successful. However, upon starting the car, I noticed that most features, including the phone settings, had been reset to factory defaults. Is this normal?

Since it has only received 10 views, it might be better to display it in "General Chat," as it could pertain to all new Hyundai models with over-the-air updates.

Well, it took some time, but I finally managed to return the Tucson to its original settings, including both phone connections. In the future, "Over The Air Updates" will be approached with extreme caution before taking any action. As my friend Will said, "All’s well that ends well."

I'm reading that this feature only recently became available, starting with the IONIQ 6 model.

"Hyundai has been offering Over-The-Air (OTA) updates since the IONIQ 6 model, which is the first to support this feature. The updates are available at the push of a button, allowing users to receive the latest software features and performance enhancements directly to their vehicles without needing to visit a dealership. More Hyundai models are expected to adopt this OTA update capability in the future."

Update to my thread.

I arrived home yesterday and was about to shut down when an update popped up on the screen, offering the option to install now or later. Choosing later, as it once again indicates it will take ten minutes. Today, on startup, it appeared again. This time, I chose "install," and it advised keeping the engine running for a clean installation. True to its word, it completed the installation within the allocated time and confirmed it was successful. It seems to be a satnav update along with some other minor tweaks. Everything seems to be working fine, but only time will tell—fingers crossed.

When I started the car this morning after yet another update, it had reset to factory defaults again—so frustrating.
