2011 Santa Fe Premium double din stereo install.
« on: October 24, 2015, 11:27:57 »
Hi there new here!!! Just collected my 2011 Santa Fe premium 7 seat on Thursday and I'm very happy with it apart from the fact the standard stereo does not have Bluetooth. I have an old double din Pioneer SPH DA 120 unit that I want to install from my old car. I am having issues figuring out the exact fitting kit required from dynamic sounds. Has anyone done anything similar and got any helpful ideas. The standard stereo fitted at the moment is single CD with the large blue display and no Bluetooth.
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated

Regards
John

Not done it myself, I have the same car plus Hyundai/Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth, but it lacks a2dp audio streaming. But there are Parrot kits that do both phone calls and audio streaming.

If you want to put a double din unit in you need a kit like this, plus the pioneer end of the steering wheel controls.

Hi,
did you have to remove any of the dash trim, vents etc to gain access or fit a new fascia at all.

been looking at doing this for a while.

cheers

Yes the dash trim (Carbon fiber look) from above the glovebox to the steering wheel prys off then two screws remove from under the vents and two screws from the storage box above the stereo removed this allows you to pry off the stereo surround and vents (unplugging the switches and the clock) then 4 X screws holding the original stereo in and it's all out. Bit scary to do but nothing broke and I used plastic trim removal tools.
